Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable on-demand Cable Wire Technician with experience installing CAT5, CAT6, security cameras, internet routers, Wi-Fi internet, combined with Wireless Network Engineering experience installing hardware systems, provisioning firewalls, and doing basic computer networking.The ideal candidate will also have the ability to climb 40-foot ladders and perform basic electrical wiring tasks including running conduit, snaking wire, terminating wires with proper pin-out, installing weather-resistant exterior junction boxes and connecting new 120 outlets to existing 220 service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot CAT5 and CAT6 cabling to include running, cutting, cleaning, splicing, proper pin out and replacement of Rj45 ethernet connectors.
- Set up and configure security cameras, internet routers, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Perform computer networking and related installations.
- Climb ladders up to 40 feet for installations and repairs.
- Conduct basic electrical wiring, including running conduit, snaking wire, and installing weather-resistant exterior outlets.
- Connect new 120 outlets to existing 220 junction boxes safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and building codes.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with CAT5, CAT6, security cameras, internet routers, and Wi-Fi installations.
- Basic knowledge of SSID’s, firewalls, and computer networking.
- Ability to safely climb and work on ladders up to 40 feet.
- Basic electrical wiring skills, including running conduit, snaking wire, and installing exterior outlets.
- Ability to connect new 120 outlets to existing 220 service.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Has their own tools and testers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Electrician and/or Journeyman - Certification in networking, wireless, or related field.
- Previous experience in a similar security or audio/visual installation role.
- Basic knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
