Summary: Prepares loan request papers then inputs and updates loan data into financial institution computer system; assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy. Reviews loan papers to ensure completeness and compliance with regulations.
Specific Job Functions:
- Provides administrative assistance to the Loan Officer and staff, including creating loan documents, updating loan data into the financial institution’s computers, and assembling of documentation for customer loans.
- Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
- Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.
- Orders Title Opinion, Mortgage, Deed, Appraisals, and Flood Determination.
- Coordinates with Credit Analysis to prepare and send loans to Loan Operations to book.
- Prepare all Renewals and Loan Modifications, Letters of Credit and Accommodation Letters. Prepare and mail Mortgage Payoff Letters, Business Letter, etc. for Loan Officers.
- Take calls and meet with loan customers to resolve any customer issues and/or concerns.
- Make Credit Files and Loan Shadow File.
- Make copies as needed.
- Attend Loan Committee Meetings
- Any other duties as requested or assigned by the Loan Officer or Senior Management.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in an office environment preferably with a background in loan operations.
- Successful completion of in-house training program or approved outside training program
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services, as well as knowledge of laws legal regulations regarding lending services.
