Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and to join our new, growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate would be willing to dual train at the front desk, as needed.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, including medical coding when necessary.
- Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, impressions, and assisting with all treatments.
- Utilize Neem for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in the dental office.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to manage patient flow and appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Assist with scheduling, collecting patient payments, and answering phone calls.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding and record management is advantageous.
- or other specialized dental fields is desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
