Hometown Dental is a general dentistry family care office located in McMinnville, OR. Our patient focused dental team is in search of a Patient Care Coordinator who will perform administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Open office in the morning, listen to voicemails, adjust schedule as needed.
- Ensure phone is answered promptly.
- Ensure current patients with emergencies are scheduled same day for exam and x-ray. Schedule all other patients in a strategic manner to meet practice and patient needs.
- Greet and check-in patients.
- Mail out new patient paperwork upon scheduling. Verify insurance benefits.
- Monitor the flow of patients, communicate to patients if behind schedule and implement ways to get back on track.
- Check patients out, collect money and schedule TX.
- Check email daily, respond to necessary correspondence, print explanation of benefits by fax, print treatment notes from other providers and route to Doctor.
- Patient care coordinating; monitoring daily schedule, filling holes using waitlist list, and implementing recall protocol; preparing treatment plans and discussing financial agreements.
- Call and confirm patients scheduled for next business day that have not confirmed by email or text. Call to remind patients when premed is required.
- Manage new patient intake, ensuring paperwork filled out completely, insurance verification complete and compile patient chart.
- Be a backup for the Financial Coordinator when needed.
- Help with sterile and keeping the daily schedule on track.
- Help turn over operatories and have a desire to learn chairside assisting and become x-ray certified.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or relevant certification required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ administration experience.
- Experience with Dentrix, or other dental practice software, is desired.
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.
- Understanding of dental billing and insurance procedures.
This position is full time 32 hours Tuesday – Thursday with an alternating Monday and Friday. We offer competitive pay, paid vacation, 401K and free dental care for employee and immediate family members.
