Task Functions and Responsibilities:
- To greet, and to establish customer relationships.
- To demonstrate our products features and explain benefits.
- To strive to turn every customer into a satisfied customer.
- To reinforce customer selections and help complete their rooms.
- To, tag merchandise, clean restrooms, and break room, clean showroom floor, and dust furniture.
- To correctly operate the Badcock computer system with efficiency.
Performance Standards:
- Our customers are our employers. The Retail Sales Associate will remember at all times to treat each customer with respect, courtesy, and seriousness.
- The Retail Sales Associate will greet customers on the showroom floor, answer phone calls and take payments. All customers are to be handled promptly.
- To be successful the Retail Sales Associate will have good personal hygiene, and clean attire at the beginning of each shift. A professional appearance at all times to include no facial piercings, no ear gauges, and no visible large tattoos.
Job Related Skills:
Computer, and keyboarding competency
Ability to listen, understand, and handle customers
Bilingual a plus
Ability to lift 75lbs
Scope and limits of authority
This position provides for a good amount of self-supervised activities. An employee in this position is expected to display good judgment, courteousness, and self-discipline at all times.
Work Schedule
- Ability to work flexible schedules; including evenings, weekends and holidays. Our stores may be open from Monday through Saturday. The Retail Sales Associate will be expected to work any of these days, on any shift between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- A lunch break will be taken during every shift, minimum break will be 30 minutes, and maximum will be 60 minutes.
