Job Description: Regional Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Charlotte, NC
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations across five apartment complexes totaling just under 1000 units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, technical proficiency in maintenance operations, and a proven ability to manage a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintenance Operations: Oversee all aspects of maintenance operations including preventive maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers to ensure units are rent-ready in a timely manner.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the property management team to develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and timely completion of projects.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
- Training and Development: Train, mentor, and coach maintenance staff to enhance skills and ensure a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and operational performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily residential maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple properties and teams, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or other related fields is preferred.
