Are you a passionate and organized professional who thrives on building relationships and making a difference? Homeward Bound is seeking an HR Specialist I to lead full-cycle recruiting and community outreach initiatives in support of our mission to help individuals with disabilities live full and dignified lives.
About the Role
As our HR Specialist I, you will be the face of Homeward Bound in recruitment efforts, cultivating internal talent, developing outreach partnerships, and innovating strategies to attract top candidates. You'll work closely with hiring managers and team members across the organization, ensuring a seamless and inclusive hiring experience while supporting broader HR activities such as onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of recruiting: job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting dashboards
- Build strong community and organizational partnerships to support recruitment
- Coordinate digital and print marketing efforts for open positions
- Conduct new hire check-ins and analyze hiring metrics
- Support HR team projects, including benefits enrollment and employee communications
What You Bring
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and social media platforms (UKG, Canva, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid MN Driver’s License and reliable transportation
