What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Mental Health Professional and Clerk for Crisis Respite Program position at Homeward Bound Inc.?
Homeward Bound, a mental health and substance use facility, is looking for a Qualified Mental Health Professional to be a clerk for the deflection/crisis respite program. This is a blend of both an administrative and a clinical role and will require working one weekend day every week. A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related degree is required.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to,
- Completing paper and electronic chart audits by reviewing all documentation for appropriate signatures and creating and maintaining a checklist to make sure each chart is in the same order and that the electronic health record has been completed correctly.
- Preparing completed charts for medical records storage and keeping an accurate inventory of the charts.
- Completing the daily census spreadsheets as well as the weekly and monthly one.
- Becoming familiar with the electronic dashboard and adding information to it daily.
- Learning the medication management process in order to assist clients when they call about needing refills, needing an appointment with the provider, etc.
- Be proficient in the Medication Administration Record and check for accuracy on a daily basis.
- Assisting in and overseeing the uploading of paperwork into electronic charts on a daily basis.
- Organizing and maintaining all of the departments’ records including sign-in sheets, incident reports, etc.
- Assisting in obtaining and recording information necessary for quality management.
- Completing all facility-required trainings within 90 days of hire.
- Assist manager in creating a daily group schedule, track the groups being held, and ensure that the groups were documented correctly.
- Facilitating groups as needed and delegate group facilitation when schedule deviations are necessary.
- Completing all trainings required for QMHPs.
- Assisting in direct care and intakes as needed.
- Ensuring that the unit is running efficiently and report concerns to the manager.
- Becoming adept at working with individuals who have survived a significant amount of trauma.
- Being able to think critically and solve problems efficiently.
