Job Description: SSVF Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Case Manager
Overview: Homeward Bound of WNC is a nonprofit agency working in Buncombe County. Our mission is
to end homelessness by moving people into permanent housing and providing wrap around support to
promote long term and independent housing stability. We are the community leader in best practices to
end homelessness, and have been using the Housing First model since 2006. Our organization consists of
three program departments; Homeless Services, Housing Services, and Supportive Services for Veteran
Families. The SSVF program is federally funded by the Supportive Services for Veteran Families grant,
provided by the Department of Veteran Affair’s Homeless Program Office. There are grantees serving
veteran’s experiencing or at imminent risk of experiencing homelessness in all 50 states. The SSVF Rapid
Rehousing Case Manager works exclusively with veteran clients under the SSVF department and reports
to the SSVF Program Manager. Rapid Rehousing Case Managers focus on serving individuals
experiencing literal homelessness with housing navigation services, case management services, and
short term temporary financial assistance to procure permanent housing and promote long term
housing stability.
Schedule and compensation: This is a full time, non-exempt position with hourly compensation. Starting at $20.44 hourly
