Primary Role:
The MAT Coordinator is responsible for organizing HomewardBound of the Grand Valley’s (HBGV) patient care for guests that are receiving medication assisted therapy. The MAT Coordinator will safely store medications, conduct guest evaluations, communicate with applicable medical providers regarding treatment protocols, oversee HBGV’s external Volunteer Program, track guest progression, assist with HBGV’s RecoveryBound Program, and coordinate with the RecoveryBound Program Manager and/or Case Managers when needed to ensure long-term success for each HBGV guest.
Pay, Hours, & Benefits:
-Pay Rate: $21.63 per hour.
-Work shifts will approximately be 10am-6:30pm; five consecutive days on and two consecutive days off. This position is full time, approximately 40 hours per week.

Requirements:
-Associate’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
-Must be a Qualified Medical Assistant Professional (QMAP).
-1-year minimum experience in social work. Preference of social work experience that pertains to mental health & substance use.
-Valid Driver’s License.
-Comprehensive understanding of the medical field’s industry standards/protocols most commonly used that pertain to opioid-related mental health issues.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both one-on-one and group based work environments.
-Outstanding organization skills that includes the ability to plan effectively & prioritize tasks based on varying workload levels.
-Team-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of guests, volunteers, and/or the organization.
Duties:
-Coordinate closely with HBGV’s on-site medical clinic, HBGV’s RecoveryBound Program Manager, and external organizations in order to provide proper guest care.
-Safely & securely store medications for guests that are participating in HBGV’s RecoveryBound Program.
-Record and generate reports to showcase key metrics such as the timeframe of treatment for each guest, number of guests served, internal/external resources utilized, etc.
-Communicate proficiently with all individuals inquiring about volunteer opportunities at HBGV.
-Accurately schedule external volunteers and ensure all individuals/groups have the sufficient information needed in order to be productive.
-Effectively communicate with HBGV guests and regularly provide follow-up assistance/resources if needed.
-Provide support for HBGV’s RecoveryBound Program that aims to help current guests that are struggling with drug addiction.
-Facilitate resources appropriately to ensure guests are receiving proper care.
-Accurately track guest progression and take appropriate course corrective action if needed.
Physical Demands:
-Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time throughout a work shift.
-The position may require bending, stooping, and/or reaching at different intervals.
