Job Summary
Come join our team! At Homewatch CareGivers of Malden, we are looking for compassionate caregivers to provide quality in-home care. We have an immediate opening for HHAs and CNAs in the Arlington, Medford, Melrose, and Somerville, MA areas. The available shifts are flexible with opportunities to pick up more hours if desired. Reliability is a must for these position! This position is perfect for someone who uses public transportation. This is a great opportunity for extra income while giving back to the community.
Responsibilities
- This position allows for a full scope of interaction with the client in their home
- Ability to work a consistent scheduled shift
- Provide routine individualized care to the client
- Provide patient personal care and companionship
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status
- Perform light housekeeping including laundry and tidy patient's room
- Ability to document care provided
- Utilize excellent communication skills

Requirements
- Certification not required but must be able to provide verification of any certifications held
- 1-3 years of experience or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility
- Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
- Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or photo ID
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields is a plus
- Positive, caring and patient personality
- Ability to make engaging conversation with client
- Ability to handle a light physical workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with English proficiency
Salary : $17 - $20
