Job Summary
Come join our team! At Homewatch CareGivers of Malden, we are looking for compassionate caregivers to provide quality in-home care during daytime hours. We have an immediate opening for HHAs and CNAs in the Melrose-Stoneham, MA area. The available shifts are flexible, 12-36hrs/week, with opportunities to pick up more hours if desired. Reliability is a must for this weekday position! This is a great opportunity for extra income while giving back to the community.
Responsibilities
- Occasionally drive client to local parks or errands around the neighborhood
- This position allows for a full scope of interaction with the client in their home
- Ability to work a consistent weekday shift
- Provide routine individualized care to the client
- Provide patient personal care and companionship
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status
- Perform light housekeeping including laundry and tidy patient's room
- Ability to document care provided
- Utilize excellent communication skills

Requirements
- HHA or CNA required and must be able to provide verification of any certifications held
- 3 years of experience or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility
- Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
- Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- HHA or CNA certification
- Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields is a plus
- Positive, caring and patient personality
- Ability to make engaging conversation with client
- Ability to handle a light physical workload
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Salary : $17 - $20
