Up to $20 an hour / Permanent Assignment
Home Health Aide needed for Memory Care Facility in West Orange
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Starting September 13th
Assignment Details:
- Up to 25 participants
- Primary Responsibilities
o Be an active part of the team for seniors with cognitive impairment
o Welcome participants in the morning and "settle" them in the room
o Escort and supervise participants in the restroom
o Keep participants clean in case of a bathroom accident or spill. Change clothes if necessary
o Help and encourage participants with recreational activities
o Assist with lunch and snack
o Oversee safety of participants throughout the day
o Get participants ready for dismissal
Position Requirements:
- Must be available to work Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Have experience working with dementia clients
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID
- Must receive an annual flu shot
- MUST be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be reliable, compassionate, flexible and a team player
- 1 year of prior experience as a Caregiver, preferred but not required
Medical Requirements:
- MUST have current New Jersey HHA Certification
- Two (2) forms of ID: Driver's License, Social Security card, etc.
- Step 1 PPD, Chest X-ray or QuantiFERON
