Role Overview

As the Compliance & Benefits Specialist , you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR team by ensuring compliance with employment regulations and administering our employee benefits programs. In this role, you will conduct audits, monitor labor law updates, and provide recommendations to leadership while also assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Conduct audits of HR documentation, I-9 records, background checks, and internal policies to identify compliance gaps and provide recommendations.
  • Stay informed of federal, state, and local labor laws (FMLA, ACA, ADA, EEOC) and suggest policy updates to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by gathering required documentation.
  • Research changes in employment laws and recommend courses of action to leadership.
  • Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits enrollment, eligibility, and claims.
  • Partner with insurance brokers and benefits providers to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefit offerings.
  • Conduct open enrollment processes and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and oversee compliance-related reporting.

  • You effectively manage benefits administration, ensuring a seamless employee experience.

  • Qualifications

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Experience : 2-4 years in HR compliance, benefits administration, or a related role.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Skills : Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Technical : Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification : SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar credential is a plus.
