Role Overview

As a Finance Controller , you will be a key financial leader responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and overall integrity of HomeWell’s financial operations. Your expertise in financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance will directly contribute to the company’s growth and success. Collaborating with leadership, care management, and HR, you’ll ensure financial strategies align with our mission of delivering top-quality in-home care services.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis reports.
  • Maintain cash flow oversight to ensure financial stability.
  • Provide financial insights to leadership for strategic planning.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and state-specific regulations.
  • Oversee tax reporting, audits, and other regulatory filings.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
  • Payroll & Billing Oversight

  • Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee billing and reimbursement processes for Medicaid, private pay clients, and third-party insurers.
  • Monitor accounts receivable / payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Operational Support & Leadership

  • Work closely with HR and care management to align financial planning with staffing and client needs.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to uphold best practices in financial operations.
  • Evaluate financial risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Qualifications

  • Experience : 5 years in financial management, preferably in healthcare or home care.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Skills :
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid / Medicare billing and reimbursement structures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting tools, and payroll systems.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
