We are offering Home Care services in the Glendale community and surrounding areas in Uptown and Peoria and are seeking talented and diligent professionals to join our team.
We are offering shifts between two and four hours in duration.
We also offer flexible shifts including live-ins, and offer the following benefits : medical and dental insurance, on-demand pay and continuous training with Care Academy.
Caregivers assist agency clients with tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan established by the agency Care Manager. This may include the provision of hands-on personal care services as well as tasks generally considered to be companion or homemaker in nature, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, errands, transportation and companionship. This is a safety sensitive role.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience with long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons. Exceptions to this requirement are for recently licensed Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs), or persons who will only be providing companionship and housekeeping services.
- CNA or HHA license would be an asset.
- Proof of current TB testing.
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
- Must have available reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Must possess excellent communication skills. Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.
- Must pass a criminal background check (national and any required by state).
- Provide verifiable professional and personal references.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP : The caregiver is supervised by the Care Manager and receives scheduling direction from the Staffing Coordinator.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL DEMANDS : Reposition and transfer clients , sustain weight of clients using proper transfer safety techniques and equipment (example : use of transfer belt while assisting client to transfer from bed to chair), andtravel to client's residence place of residence using a reliable means of transportation.
