H-F Racquet & Fitness Club JOB SUMMARY : Under the supervision of the Group Fitness Coordinator, the Boxing Fitness Instructor will design and instruct safe and effective boxing specific fitness classes for members of all fitness levels and ages. The Boxing Fitness Instructor will also act as a liaison between members and the Group Fitness Coordinator. The Instructor will keep the Group Fitness Coordinator informed of all problems and concerns. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
• Instruct class.
• Represent the Club in a positive manner.
• Adhere to Club rules and policies.
• Keep Group Fitness Coordinator Informed
• Communicate with students, and take an interest in them.
• Take attendance.
• Prepare class music and routine.
• Be punctual.
• Enforce Fitness Class policies.
• Attend Fitness staff meetings.
• Keep certifications current (including CPR)
• Keep track of hours; record hours by using time clock
• Develop appropriate lesson plans for class
• Find substitutes if unable to teach, inform Group Fitness Coordinator.
• Stay fit and act as positive role model for participants.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
• Other related job duties as assigned.

CLIMBING : Required to use "step" in class

VERBAL : Must converse with class

VISION : Must be able to watch students
