Your day as a Graduate Practical Nurse is a dynamic journey filled with compassion, learning, and dedication to patient care. From the moment you step into the healthcare facility, your mission is to promote residents' health, wellness, and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. You start your shift by receiving a comprehensive report from the registered nurse on duty. With a keen sense of responsibility, you prepare to assist with medication administration, ensuring residents receive the right treatments on time. You meticulously check vital signs, assessing any changes in health status that may need immediate attention. You offer a comforting presence to residents, listening to their concerns and providing emotional support. You assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility exercises, fostering a sense of dignity and independence among those you care for.
You collaborate closely with the registered nurse, learning the intricacies of care planning, documentation, and the coordination of healthcare services. You may administer wound dressings, injections, or intravenous therapies under the guidance of your mentor, always vigilant for any signs of complications. Despite the challenges and complexities, your day is marked by a relentless commitment to learning and improvement. You actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge, attending educational sessions and participating in team meetings to enhance your skills. Your dedication to the well-being of your residents and your unwavering pursuit of excellence make you an indispensable part of the healthcare team.

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with shifts available from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m..
