Responsible for management of the donor database, data entry, reporting of data, donor correspondence and acknowledgment, donor list, and auxiliary membership. Provides key support for special events, campaigns, and annual giving.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspects of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate computers, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Summary:
Provides administrative support to the Foundation Office in fundraising procedures, practices, and administrative functions. Responsible for management of the donor database, data entry, reporting of data, donor correspondence and acknowledgment, donor list, and auxiliary membership. Provides key support for special events, campaigns, and annual giving.
Essential Functions:
- Models the organization’s stated core values.
- Treats all information about donors, residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information.
- Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices.
- Performs Foundation administrative and daily clerical functions as needed within the department.
- Manages and updates the Raiser’s Edge donor database to provide donor acknowledgements, mailing lists, analysis, reports, pledge reminders, and other information as requested; maintains integrity of the database.
- Maintains the active Auxiliary membership list.
- Engages and provides resources to all system-wide board members in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.
- Keeps the fund development software updated to maximize its effectiveness in addressing the needs of the Foundation and the Corporation.
- Assists with annual giving activities, including direct mail, publications, website content, electronic communications, and social media, as needed.
- Assists the Foundation team with fundraising events across the system, as needed.
- Maintains and prepares mailing lists for Fireside, Foundation newsletters, site publications, bulk donor and Auxiliary mailings, and other mailings, as needed.
- Engages donors in securing stories/testimonials for all Foundation-related communication, including website, social media, and newsletters.
- Maintains updated address information as required and provided by USPS, facility liaisons, and other sources.
- Performs other functions as assigned by supervisor.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, along with a minimum of three years' experience in an administrative role, preferably in a not-for-profit development office.
- Proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Database management experience with Raiser’s Edge or another donor record software is preferred.
- Enjoy collaborating with others and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Be conversant in Web basics.
- Must have excellent writing skills and the ability to edit various types of web content ranging from general to specialized.
- Must have a strong sense of organization and the ability to achieve deadlines. Ability to organize and prioritize work and take initiative in identifying best practices to be implemented.
- Data entry skills and accuracy, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to present information concisely and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
