What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Supervisor position at Homewood Suites by Hilton Providence-Warwick?

Availability for morning shifts (7am - 3pm) and night shifts (3pm - 11pm) is required. Weekends and holidays are required but time-off requests are often accommodated. Timeliness and reliability are crucial for this role. Duties include but are not limited to:
- At least two years prior experience in a hotel front desk setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Assist the AGM in overseeing a small front office team of 4-6 people including scheduling, interviewing and training.
- Take initiative to engage team members as well as improve overall performance.
- Take initiative to engage guests with exemplary customer service, surprise & delights, and taking ownership of the guest experience from start to finish.
- Oversee all retail market operations including taking inventory, preparing orders, mitigating shrinkage, and meeting or exceeding budgeted profit margins.
- Assist in billing processes for Advance Purchase and CLC Lodging reservations.
- Greet and engage with all guests approaching the Front Desk and with customers over the phone.
- Provide guests with friendly and memorable service at check-in, at checkout, and throughout their stay.
- Be knowledgeable on and answer inquires about hotel services, amenities, facilities and policies.
- Provide guests with personalized recommendations on local dining, entertainment and area activities.
- Be familiar with area special events, restricted dates and groups.
- Perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist.
- Fully comprehend and be able to operate the Front Desk computer system.
- Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed.
- Review Front Office log daily to address relevant guest issues.
- Willingness to work night audit shifts as needed.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Be familiar with hospitality terminology.
- Assist guests with safe deposit boxes.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a clean work area.
