Laundry Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in our establishment. This position requires a commitment to quality service and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all laundry tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold items according to established procedures.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and surfaces.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
• Ensure that all laundry is completed in a timely manner to meet operational needs.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with team members.
