Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility, ensuring that all items are laundered, cleaned, and presented to the highest standards. This position is essential in supporting our operations, particularly in a hotel environment where guest satisfaction is paramount. This is a part time position, 9am-5pm Mondays and Tuesdays only, set schedule.
Duties
- Launder and clean various types of linens, towels, and garments using appropriate washing techniques and equipment.
- Operate dry cleaning machines and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean items for easy distribution to designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect items for stains or damages prior to laundering and report any issues to management.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service in a hotel setting are essential.
