SUMMARY
This role are for candidates with open flexibility: 7-3pm or 3pm-11pm shifts.
Responsible for answering and transferring phone calls, checking guests in and out of the hotel, taking reservations and interacting with guests to provide the best quality service possible in a manner that will ensure hotel guests receive a secure place to stay with friendly, attentive service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
- Manage room reservations and cancellations using the property management system (PMS).
- Confirm bookings and process any necessary changes or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and special requests.
- Process payments, including room charges, deposits, and incidentals.
- Reconcile cash, credit card, and other payment methods at shift end.
- Assist with billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs.
- Document and communicate guest feedback to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Ensure security and privacy by adhering to confidentiality policies.
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
- Monitor lobby and public areas to ensure guest comfort and safety.
- Follow safety and emergency protocols as needed.
- Assist with evacuation or emergency response plans when required.
- Compile and file guest records and reports.
- Maintain inventory of supplies for the front desk.
- Support management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
