Responsibilities:- Counsel your sales team members, evaluate their performance, and offer suggestions for improvement
- Ensure our sales staff achieves their goals by making sales plans for each sales representative, setting individual sales targets, assigning territories, and managing their ongoing training programs
- Create sales reports and present to the team that outline sales efforts including progress and sales volume to better determine future goals
- Set our sales strategies and sales objectives to achieve our sales goals
- Keep the company growing by identifying new sales opportunities, emerging markets, and lead generation programs
- Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients at all times.
- Deliver a successful experience for the planner and attendees to garner both repeat and referral business.
- Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers, and deliver clear and concise communiqués.
- Effectively and efficiently monitor and manage all aspects of the pre-event, event, and post-event details.
- Track, detail, and communicate the particulars of each assigned event and group -- including but not limited to -- room blocks, meeting space, special concessions, group history and other reports, cut-off and other key dates, contract clauses, group resumes, event orders and BEO’s, billing details, and other integral aspects of groups and events.
- Gain knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage products, pricing, and presentation, and learn about the hotel’s function space, audiovisual, and any other details related to event success.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation, and organizational savvy with a keen focus on details.

- Foster Business with proactive and reactive sales efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients with speed and efficiency in returning calls and bookings.
- Exude proactive planning, organizational skills, and a keen sense of pricing for the overall efficiency of the department.
- Provide excellent follow-through on details to account and to hotel departments.
- Be the face of the hotel at all industry events with property representation of professionalism and character.
- Meet and exceed all monthly revenue and sales call goals.
- Documentation of all sales activities in Delphi or similar sales system for tracking and history.
- Be a team player at all times to assist as needed in the operation of a successful hotel.
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field
- Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
- Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales
- 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department
