Volunteer Coordinator
20 - 24 hours per Week $22-$26 / hour
Homeworthy is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team member to assist with coordinating volunteers of our growing Agency. Homeworthy offers comprehensive programs and services to adults, families, and youth in Midcoast Maine. We support community members through our wrap-around programming, including Comprehensive Case Management services, The Hospitality House Family Shelter, and The Landing Place Youth Program. The primary responsibilities include: building relationships with prospective and current volunteers, interfacing with department contacts throughout Homeworthy, using Little Green Light donor management system, placing volunteers into roles they will enjoy and excel at, basic volunteer training, and celebrating and thanking volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator works to provide volunteers throughout the organization where they are needed, and is also a primary public relations advocate for Homeworthy, influencing the public’s perception of the organization and its mission. This role requires a highly organized, outgoing and patient who enjoys working with people and is committed to supporting Homeworthy’s mission.
Qualified candidates for this position will have a High School diploma or equivalent. One - three years of customer service or volunteer management experience preferred. Ability to be flexible with scheduling is a plus. Current valid driver’s license, safe driving record and insurance required.
This position will pay $22 - 26/hr, based on experience. Homeworthy offers a competitive salary and benefits package options depending on the total scheduled hours worked per week and can include employer-supported health insurance plans (employer pays up to 95% and contributes to a health savings account), optional dental and vision plans, retirement plan with a 3% employer match, paid time off (1 hour earned for every 20 hours worked), and 14 paid holidays (including your birthday!)
