Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Hominy Southern Kitchen, located in El Jebel, is seeking awesome people to join our team! We are a chef driven restaurant that focuses on providing stellar hospitality and service to our guests. We are a small family owned and operated restaurant that provides southern inspired cuisine and strives to provide an exceptional experience to all of our guests.

We are looking for a qualified Assistant General Manager to join our team, full time, 5 nights a week, dinner services, and oversee 2 brunch services. We are looking for someone who shares a passion for hospitality and food. Someone who is reliable, dependable, and has a passion for learning about food and wine. The ideal candidate has previous restaurant experience of at least 3 years, at least 2 years of experience as a bartender, and management/ leadership skill are highly preferred. Potential candidates must be at least 21, as a large part of the position deals with wine & beverage training and tastings.

We are looking for someone who has an open mind and has a passion for learning and expanding their knowledge in all things food & beverage.

We offer family meal at the end of dinner service and prior to brunch service.

Responsibilities:
- Proficiently and eloquently describe daily food & wine additions
- Must be able to learn the menu as it reads to the guests in order to be able to walk the guests through the menu and make recommendations suitable to each guest
- Follow daily side work checklists
- Must be knowledgeable of TOAST POS
- Must be able to work in a team driven environment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server or in a restaurant. Please do not apply if you have never worked in a restaurant before.
- Must be at least 21, please do not apply if you are under 18
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Written & Verbal understanding of the English Language
