The Service Technician plays a crucial role in providing top-notch technical support to Hommel-Etamic customers. As part of our elite team of specialists, you will be responsible for the timely installation and startup of high-tech equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, calibrate, maintain, and repair gauging systems.
- Train customers on the operation, programming, and maintenance of gauging systems.
- Program and run customer-specific applications.
- Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Perform periodic maintenance & calibrations of gauging systems in customer facilities worldwide.
Requirements
- Able to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing work demands.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Team player with excellent time-management and interpersonal skills.
- Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances and experience with gauging systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma in mechatronics, manufacturing methods or similar.
- Programming experience with PLC's (ladder logic) and/or structured text languages.
- Background in the manufacturing industry - metrology experience an advantage.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- 3 – 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a customer support role.
