WMS Interns perform entry-level work to both benefit the company and provide a valuable learning experience.
Interns are expected to gain exposure to the inner workings of the Private Debt and Private Equity industries. The focal point of this internship is to help the Private Investment team with tasks relating to our CRM, including maintenance and data management. Our expectation is that the Private Investment Intern develops a familiarity with private investment strategies, performance measurement, and due diligence process. While Interns are not guaranteed direct exposure to fund managers, there may be the opportunity to join meetings and assist in the diligence process.

- Using fund marketing materials & independent research to generate profiles on pre-identified Private Debt and Private Equity managers
- Outlining investment opportunities as they enter the pipeline
- Managing meeting notes from Private Investment team members
- Generating reports as requested
Miscellaneous Private Investment Support
Responsibilities
The Private Investment Intern is meant to be a support role with mentoring from Private Investment team members. Additional responsibilities, under direction of the Private Investment team members, may include:
- Joining investment manager calls and/or meetings to assist with notetaking
- Joining the weekly Private Debt & Equity Committee meetings
- Reviewing fund marketing materials to practice developing an investment recommendation
- Assisting in specific tasks related to due diligence
- Assisting in specific projects related to performance benchmarking

- Work towards a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
- Rising Seniors preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite preferred
