Survey Crew Chief

Honc is seeking hard-working and reliable and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Survey Team.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Efficiently operate survey equipment including total stations, levels, GPS equipment, and data collectors. Collection of data and review for accuracy.
• Ability to work occasionally as a one-person crew following directions from Project Manager.
• Perform a variety of tasks – Three wire level runs, construction stakeout, As-building utilities and earthwork, ALTA/boundary.
• Ability to interact with site development crews and job site superintendents.
• Flexibility to adapt to situations and circumstances.
• Manual dexterity and willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrain environments.
• Maintain accurate, legible organized records in accordance with all Operations and Work Instructions.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies/procedures.
• Read and interpret construction plan documents.
• Self-motivated individual and display initiative.
• Be safety driven. Maintain a good driving record.
• Anticipate, prevent and solve problems (proactive vs. reactive) within his/her authority

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5 Years of surveying experience
• 1 Year survey Crew Chief experience
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required
• Ability to sit, climb, squat, bend or stand for an extended period. In addition, ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently
• Ability to take directions from management
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Understand verbal and written English
