General Summary:
The Material Planner position is responsible to function independently on a consistent basis when responding to the needs of maintenance team with timely, accurate, and professional delivery of all requested parts and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates Purchase Orders within Quantum Control for the procurement of aircraft parts and services.
- Communicates material shortages and takes immediate action to eradicate issues.
- Maintains and tracks Service Center inventory when applicable.
- Performs incoming/receiving inspections per Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual. Receiving inspections functions under the guidance of/and reports to the Chief Inspector.
- Issues material to Work Order/ Work Packages.
- Maintains adequate stock of consumable material and monitoring of shelf life.
- Submits and tracks warranty claims for Core returns.
- Utilize business systems and portal data to identify and document maintenance needs and maintain continuous communication regarding “open part” order status, parts specifications, availability and expected delivery timeframe.
- Conducts daily work load planning by analyzing work requirements, reports, schedules and prioritizes workload urgency.
- Solves problems and executes effective decisions regarding parts availability, delivery time issues and regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
- Associates degree in Business Administration or other related field preferred or equivalent industry experience and training.
- 2 or more years’ experience in FAA Part 145 repair Station environment with business/corporate aircraft maintenance or similar experience as relating to this position.

- Strong detail oriented and administrative/ data entry skills

- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 50 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
- Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment; people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
