Job Description
">The Service Advisor will provide exceptional customer service, greet customers in a timely and friendly manner, obtain vehicle information, and advise customers on necessary services for routine maintenance.
The Service Advisor will help identify mechanical problems by questioning customers or performing visual inspections or road tests. They will also confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
The Service Advisor will refer to service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend additional needed services. They will establish promised times, check with service technicians to ensure timely repairs, and review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization are noted.
Key Skills
">The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have previous experience as a Service Advisor. They should be computer literate and have the ability to understand vehicle computer systems.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record are also required. High school diploma or GED, or 2 years of experience, is preferred. The Service Advisor must be able to stand for 8 hours a day, tolerate working in hot and cold weather, and lift, kneel, bend, and twist.
