Job Title : Communications Manager, Venues
Pay Details : The annual base salary range for this position in California is $72,000 to $85,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education / training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in promoting the unforgettable experiences hosted at Honda Center, Grove of Anaheim, and the exciting new OCVIBE venues. Reporting to the Director of Media & Communications, this role is perfect for a strategic and creative communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll develop compelling publicity campaigns, foster media relationships, and collaborate with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry to amplify the visibility of world-class events and venues.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary PR contact, managing communications for ticketed events at Honda Center, Grove of Anaheim, and future OCVIBE venuesWork events as the onsite PR contact, meeting with tour team members, securing media credentials, finalizing media tickets, and escorting photographers around the venue during showsCultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and industry mediaCollaborate with promoters, artists, publicists, and tour representatives to execute impactful campaignsCraft and manage media materials, including press releases, media alerts, press conferences, photos, and interviews for events and venue newsPartner with the communications team to create storylines that align with the organization's Mission, Vision, and ValuesIdentify key media opportunities like award submissions and feature storiesCollaborate with the marketing team to develop creative social media content strategies that reflect the unique tone and voiceManage website copy and content for Honda CenterBuild promotional plans to attract new events and shows to Honda CenterOversee venue crisis communications strategies and maintain updated protocols for stakeholdersLead onsite and remote media activations, such as press events, red carpets, interviews, and venue milestone celebrationsPartner with internal teams to generate innovative ideas for consistent earned media coverageExecute cross-promotional opportunities that tie into sponsors, Anaheim Ducks branding, and upcoming showsManage media databases, track coverage, and create analytics reportsDevelop relationships with influencers and manage influencer programsCreate and execute backstage activations and performer gifting programsSupervise the Media & Communications Coordinator, ensuring high-quality support for photography, press logistics, and project executionAssist the Director in managing department budgets, invoices, and expense reportingCollaborate with third-party PR firms as neededSupport community and corporate eventsTake on special projects, including event procurement research and crisis communication planningSkills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of communications experience, ideally within live events, entertainment, or PRExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationshipsDetail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyCreative, self-driven, and able to thrive in a collaborative team environmentDeep knowledge of and enthusiasm for the live events and concert industryFlexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as requiredExperience with Canva, Cision, and TV Eyes is a plusProficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) is a plus
