Job Purpose
Responsible for designing, following manufacture and processing of plastic injection molds for North American mass production facilities with outputs in the form of 3D models while working closely with customers and internal team members to ensure high quality parts and production stability.
Key Accountabilities
- Design new model plastic injection molds utilizing CAD software
- Investigate improvements or countermeasure tooling related problems during mold builds, trials, and mass production
- Set processing for new model parts for manufacturability
- Design Project Leader of plastics tools for new model projects
- Follow and check in house and supplier designs
- Installation of plastics tools at North American plants
- Investigate and implement business related improvement items
