Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as co-op/interns in plastics engineering. As a co-op/intern, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include supporting online troubleshooting of injection molding and plastics welding equipment, installation of new tooling, design modification and implementation of production lines, interacting with suppliers and contractors, calculating part and tooling costs for injection molded automotive parts, participating in cost-reduction projects, developing ideas that lead to tangible cost savings, and completing special research projects. You will also be required to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying plastics engineering, plastics engineering technology, or a related field, and have at least 10 weeks of availability to work 40 hours per week. Additionally, you should have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and analytical skills. You should also possess knowledge of CAD software, injection process optimization, and plastics-related coursework, and be available to participate in paid work events and experiences.
