Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.

Job Purpose

In this role, you will be a subject matter expert in the field of immigration sponsorship and oversea assignment program. Act as liaison to internal and external immigration attorneys and business units for sponsorship program and to host company HR for oversea assignment program. This position requires experience in working with various key stakeholders such as recruiters, compensation and benefit coordinators, department leaders, budget controllers, and outside vendors. Work assignments are performed using multi-task, problem solving, and communication skills as well as defined parameters for accuracy, quality, efficiency and compliance with time schedules and applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the Immigration Subject Matter Expert for American Honda and the liaison between legal, finance, and the business to administer immigration sponsorship.
  • Effectively lead and own immigration program and guidelines for Honda NA - responsible for providing technical expertise related to sponsorship and elevating business processes.
  • Understand the immediate and long-term technical needs of Honda to develop and deliver strategic initiatives for immigration sponsorship.
  • Develop & deliver presentations effectively to educate HDMA / AHM leadership of the program - audience varies from business users of the program to executive updates.
  • Coach & educate support team member to ensure administrative tasks are completed.
  • Manage sponsorship budget to ensure forecasting is accurate and invoices / charge back processes are solidified.
  • Provide excellent customer service to new hire candidates and associates; answering questions in a timely manner.
  • Supports Overseas Assignment Program (OAP) in Japan by acting as a liaison to host company HR who provides Japanese work authorization visa, housing, and benefits.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 0-3 years of HR experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization
  • Working Conditions
