Job Purpose

  • This role at Honda is in the B2C & Martech Unit within the IT Dept. The incumbent's goal will be to provide seamless, sustainable, and innovative solutions that exceed expectations and drive trust and satisfaction with the Honda and Acura brands. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our IT B2C & MarTech team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT / Software Development including Agile Project and Program Management in a complex environment, with hands-on experience in managing multiple IT teams and projects simultaneously.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to team leads and project managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Lead and oversee teams responsible for designing, delivering, and solutions across various platforms.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-teams to ensure alignment to achieve common goals and successful project execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver maximum value to the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, providing recommendations and insights for future initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Hybrid : At least 3 days per workweek at the aforementioned Honda corporate office location

  • Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science / information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing and delivering technology projects and products
  • 7 or more years of experience in delivering technology solutions that are Consumer Facing or MarTech applications, leading development teams from inception to implementation.
  • Experience in waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience Managing team(s) of 5 resources Strong understanding of :
  • CRM systems (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
  • APIs and Web Services
  • Personalization Engines (e.g., Dynamic Yield, Evergage, Adobe Target, etc.)
  • CDPs (Treasure Data, Segment, Tealium, etc.)
  • Voice of Customer (VoC) platforms (e.g., Medallia, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
  • Chatbots and Virtual Assistants
  • Analytical and attribution tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
