Job Purpose
The Quality Engineering Mfg. Quality Engineer is responsible for technical and project leadership within the QE organization. The engineer should oversee the team's technical workload, advise / mentor junior engineers, and ensure that the team is progressing appropriately in project work. They will also serve as a technical expert when needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead Mass Production and New Model investigations related to Spec and Testing
- Serve as QE-PL for complex projects
- Participate in department initiatives such as budgeting, business plan, cost improvement, new model activity, to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement, and foster engagement for the department
- Oversee daily group activity by managing day to day operations and schedules
- Serve as technical expert in area of responsibility, sharing knowledge formally and informally with others
- Confirm test results before seeking management approval
