Job Purpose
The National Marine Account Sales Specialist role will be responsible for managing the operational business for National Accounts and select boat builder relationships. Provide account & channel support to the National Account store locations to make sure they are receiving what they need to succeed to sell the Honda brand. Responsible for making sure orders are placed in internal and National Account portal systems. This role will be tasked with working to build our boat builder sales channel to determine new opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for national accounts within the marine division, ensuring strong relationships with clients and maintaining consistent communication.
- Monitor and report out on key performance metrics, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, POS trends and account growth.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking or product allocation based on national account needs.
- Work with management team to review and negotiate pricing, terms, and financial conditions with national clients as needed.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, logistics, marketing) to ensure the smooth execution of national account strategies and initiatives.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to deliver displays, brochures or product updates to national clients.
- Sales order entry and management, monitoring customer request dates, scheduled ship dates, and addressing holds on orders for Honda Marine outboard products
- Analyze, create and develop new sales opportunities with boat builders
- Interact with internal and external customers in the inside sales context, serving as a key point of contact for Honda Marine outboard products.
- Assist sales team in various tasks directly related to sales and business development of Honda Marine
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Minimum Educational Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Marketing or Business OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum Experience
- 3 years of Marine Industry experience
- Must have comprehensive MS office skills with significant emphasis on MS Excel.
- Experience selling Marine outboard engines or boats
- Desired Experience
- Previous experience in B2B sales or working with national accounts
- SPS Analytics Software Experience
- Power BI experience

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
