About this Position :
- Digital Services Delivery department is building leading customer centric mobile applications for Honda products predominately Auto centric and is seeking a dynamic Product Owner to lead the development and growth of our digital services payment and subscription system by work closely with cross-functional teams including software development, design, marketing, and customer support to deliver an exceptional user experience and drive the success of our services.
- The Product Owner role translates the Product Features of stakeholders into understandable language for the Development Team to interpret and take action. This leadership role also sets direction and prioritizes work, removing impediments when necessary.
- This role will lead Agile Product Team within the Digital Product Delivery Department. Responsibilities include : Represent and advocate for the Business in strategic planning, product development and solution management that are in alignment with stakeholder AHM Business Units (Auto Honda, Acura, and AHFC) corporate strategies.
- Working with leadership, owns critical decisions such as business goals, scope, and desired outcomes.
- Delivers high, consistent value (release management), successful completion of releases
- This position requires extensive collaboration with AHM associates, IT, consultants, contingent workforce, and external partners.
Responsibilities include :
Product Strategy and Vision :
Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the payment & subscription platform.Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on market research, user feedback, and business goals.Roadmap and Planning :
Create and manage the product roadmap, setting clear milestones and timelines.Collaborate with stakeholders to align product initiatives with company objectives and customer needs.User Experience and Design :
Work with UX / UI designers to ensure the payment & subscription platform provides an intuitive, engaging, and seamless user experience to meet business key performance indicators (KPIs).Gather and analyze user feedback to inform design improvements and feature development.Subscription Management :
Oversee the design and implementation of subscription features, including payment processing, user management, and content delivery.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to subscription growth, retention, and revenue.Lead Product Development and Operation :
Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of small to medium scale products (with business impact and firm deadlines).Identifies, assesses, and manages risk to the success of the Product. Ensures that realistic development / sprint plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.Ensures quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.Ensures that Sprint and release deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets.Provides effective leadership to the Product team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed plan.Market Analysis :
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats.Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies relevant to subscription models.Reviews analysis and performance monitoring for specified products. Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products.Contributes to product collateral and monitors results and feedback from product launches.Stakeholder Communication :
Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries from internal teams and external partners.Provide regular updates on product progress, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.Who we are seeking :
Required Work Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in the industry that has a subscription for digital servicesProven experience with subscription-based business models and platformsRequired Education :
BA / BS degree or equivalent professional experience supported by subject matter trainingDesired skills :
