Position Overview

Hondius Energy is seeking an experienced and results-driven Deployment Manager to oversee the execution of electric vehicle (EV) charging station installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project coordination, installation management, budgeting, client and contractor collaboration, and reporting. The Deployment Manager will play a key role in driving the successful deployment of Hondius Energy’s fast-charging infrastructure across diverse locations, from hotels and gas stations to municipalities and hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Installation Management

Lead the execution of EV charging station installations across a wide geographic area, ensuring seamless coordination of full turnkey and hybrid installations at diverse sites, including commercial, municipal, and healthcare locations. Manage installation timelines, resource allocation, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Budget & Financial Oversight
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control measures are in place while maintaining a high level of quality and client satisfaction. Track and manage financials to ensure projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.

  • Proposal & Bid Management
  • Lead and manage subcontractor bid processes for EV charging sites.

  • Procurement & Payment Administration
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring timely and accurate payment to contractors and vendors. Process payments and ensure proper documentation for all transactions related to project execution.

  • Client & Contractor Collaboration
  • Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure installations meet Hondius Energy standards. Address and resolve challenges or changes that arise during the installation process to maintain project timelines and client satisfaction.

  • Materials & Grants Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage material orders and ensure installations meet the criteria for relevant grant programs, ensuring compliance and eligibility for funding.

  • Project Tracking & Reporting
  • Use ProCore (or other tools) to manage 90-100 active projects monthly, providing upper management with detailed updates and progress reports on project status. Maintain clear documentation of all project milestones, setbacks, and successes.

  • Utility & Municipality Coordination
  • Coordinate with local utilities and municipalities to obtain necessary permits and approvals, ensuring the timely completion of installations. Navigate regulatory challenges to maintain project momentum.

  • Cost Optimization & Performance Enhancement
  • Continuously evaluate project costs and implementation strategies to identify opportunities for cost optimization, resource efficiency, and enhanced project performance.

  • Business Development Support
  • Assist the sales team in business development by leveraging existing relationships with EPC contractors to create new opportunities and drive growth for Hondius Energy. Coordinate with Site Developers to identify or create initial site maps for consideration.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience overseeing construction management of Level 3 charging installations.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in the installation of EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy, or related fields.
  • Strong background in budgeting, financial oversight, and cost management for large-scale projects.
  • Experience with procurement, payment administration, and managing purchase orders using platforms like NetSuite and Procore.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong client management skills with experience in managing relationships with high-profile clients.
  • Expertise in coordinating with contractors, utilities, municipalities, and other stakeholders to drive successful project completion.
  • Familiarity with project tracking and reporting software such as Salesforce.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience working in the electric vehicle, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Knowledge of grant programs and eligibility criteria for clean energy projects.
