Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic Nurse to serve as the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Columbus Campus !
The Assistant Director of Nursing assists Nursing leadership in the development and implementation of long-term quality program(s) and works collaboratively with all members of the nursing / campus team. To effectively render support, the Assistant Director of Nursing must be familiar with the processes of teaching, program evaluation, and oversight to identify gaps and take action to improve program quality, enhance current systems, define and prioritize high-value quality projects and manage projects to completion.
Responsibilities :
- Partners with the Director of Nursing [DON] in staffing / headcount planning, interviewing / selecting, orienting, and mentoring.
- Provides oversight and serves as the point of contact and liaison for instructional clinical sites and manages the implementation and administration of the standardized student assessment program.
- Maintains a professional image, attitude, work area, and communication style at all times; exhibit professional behavior, language, communication, demeanor and dress at all times.
- Facilitates positive communication and develops collegial relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners to promote positive learning environments.
- Manages student orientation and review of student files and records.
- Demonstrates strict adherence to all institutional, governmental, and accreditation policies, regulations, and codes of conduct at all times.
- May provide instruction and evaluate student learning in assigned courses to support the nursing program.
- Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to all nursing students, faculty, and staff requests for information and / or guidance.
- Seeks out, establishes, and secures clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing program(s).
- Completes assessments of clinical sites in relation to curricular and course outcomes
- Makes clinical site visits during student experiences ensuring all requirements delineated within clinical affiliation agreements are upheld.
