The Deli Manager is responsible for providing customers with quality deli items in a friendly and welcoming way. The supervisor is also responsible for supervising and training staff in the department.

Summary of the position:
Welcomes and assists customers with deli department needs
Sets the standard and models how to take customer orders and suggests additional sales in the department
Delegates tasks, stocking and refilling of products to department employees- follow up to verify completion
Trains employees on how to properly prepare items including sandwiches, subs, salads, deli trays, rotisserie chickens, heat and eat, and grab-and-go items
Ensures quality products are available based on customer demand, which includes placing orders required for the deli department
Verifies price and sale items accuracy within the department
Verifies products received through deliveries match orders placed and invoices received
Meets or exceeds profitability goal set by store manager
Ensures and trains compliance with State and County safety and sanitation standards, and NY State Bureau of Weights and Measures throughout the department
Provides direction, supervision, and performance management while promoting a positive "Team" atmosphere
