What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service, ESP Associate position at HONEST WEIGHT FOOD COOPERATIVE, INC.?
Overview Provide excellent, friendly customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of food products, to clean and organize The Honest Weight Coop area at the Empire State Plaza, and complete shift duties.
Status: $16.50 - $18.00/hour. Hourly Part Time, Monday – Friday, 10:00am - 3pm, 25 hours/week. (may be asked to work occasional weekend for special events at the Plaza or to work in the Food Service department at the store as needed). Food Service workers recieve a $1/hour shift differential.
Supervisor: Food Service Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve menu items according to recipe and portion guidelines
- Maintain a work pace which minimizes customer wait times
- Ensure that all product is in sellable condition and meets quality standards, making sure all unsellable items are disposed of
- Ensure that all Products are stocked and merchandised according to department standards
- Fulfill all shift duties as assigned
- Maintain all areas that area designated ours, food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards
- Participates in quarterly inventory
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of products and ingredients
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Ability to work shifts with frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching
- Food Safety Certification a Plus!
- Drivers License a Plus!
