Assistant Store Manager

Honey 2 A Bee Smoke Shop is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This position involves working closely with the store manager and business owner to ensure smooth store operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing inventory, handling cashier duties, answering phone calls, overseeing day-to-day store functions, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should have high emotional intelligence, be capable of multitasking, managing various aspects of the store, and maintaining a positive and efficient environment for both customers and staff. Additionally, there may be other responsibilities not explicitly listed that will be required as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Handle inventory control, product stocking, and organization
• Operate the cashier system and process transactions accurately
• Answer phone calls, address customer inquiries, and resolve concerns promptly
• Support the store manager in daily tasks and work closely with the business owner
• Multitask effectively to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner
• On-call availability as needed for operational support
• Lift up to 20 lbs as part of stocking or organizing products

Skills

• Experience in grocery store operations or retail management is highly desirable.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail for effective budgeting and reporting.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively with vendors for optimal pricing and product selection.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
• Familiarity with store management software and tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of vape devices and accessories, tobacco products, electronic dabbing tools (e-rigs, pens, etc.), and glass paraphernalia (pipes, bongs, bubblers). Able to confidently explain product use, differences, and make recommendations based on customer needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.33 - $23.51 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 35 per week
