Position Title: Before/ After School Care Program Supervisor
Department: Management
Reports to: Director
Employment Status: Full-Time
On-Site Hours: 6:45am-10:00am, 3:00pm-6:00pm
Prep Time: 10:00am-11:45am
POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to oversee the Before and After School Program at a site-specific level. This position also facilitates enrichment activities, assist with K-6 student’s homework, and supervises students enrolled in the Program. This person is responsible for all staff involved in the program as well.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Program Supervisor Administrative Duties
- Understand the goals and objectives of both the Honey Grove business as a whole and the individual site in which you direct.
- Oversee daily operations of the program and its various components, ensuring compliance with all schools policies, and ratios are in place.
- Continuously assist in the development and implementation of new and existing policies and procedures, ensuring the safest and most efficient operation.
- Implement and maintain an atmosphere of confidentiality for employees, parents, and students.
- Create an inviting environment at all times throughout the entirety of the program's schools inside and out.
- Attend to site email, site phone calls when needed.
- Oversee the snack count and procedure.
- Attend all required program events (Meet the Teacher Night, Book Rental, Parent Night Out, etc).
- Help coordinate breaks with planning and meetings.
Employee Management Duties
- Assist in the hiring process by reviewing applications and carrying out second interviews with prospective employees.
- Communicate recommendations on prospective employees based on your interview.
- Understand your responsibility with the training of new employees based on the director’s development of the program and present your responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain an encouraging and motivating atmosphere allowing employees the support to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Understand your responsibility with evaluating employee performance and based on the director’s development program, effectively carry out these duties.
- Train new employees, and support all Site Supervisor’s during transitions and position changes.
Student Management Duties
- Implement the Honey Grove program structure and lesson plans throughout each school while ensuring all teachers effectively carry out developmentally appropriate activities.
- Assist teachers in behavior management and the development of individualized behavior plans when needed.
- Construct and carry out creative plans to support events, activities, and camps.
- Monitor all allergies, program plans and practices, attendance, and parent-pickup.
- Involve students and parents by planning events, parties, etc.
Parent Communication Duties
- Provide a warm welcoming environment to all Honey Grove families and visitors.
- Ensure that all employees are utilizing positive and effective communication with all families.
- Conduct effective parent/teacher meetings when requested while upholding an optimistic atmosphere.
- Consistently communicate important student, classroom and/or staff information.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs with above-average writing skills.
- Experience and success in a management or leadership role. ? Ability to provide positive communication and customer service.
- CPR/First Aid Certified (will certify)

- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more years of related experience or relevant coursework (Education Field or Similar)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate using proper English grammar
- Good oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals, including, staff and parents
- Ability to lead a team of 5-10 staff members in a positive manner, ability to train and coach
