Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our café. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also providing excellent customer service and maintaining the cleanliness of the workspace.

Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other menu items.
• Operate the clover POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Assist with food preparation and handling in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations, take orders, and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and basic food preparation techniques.
• Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
• A genuine passion for coffee and helping others enjoy their experience at our café.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.

Pay: From $9.50 per hour
