JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Technician assists in ensuring quality standards are maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB
· Performs inspections of finished products, ingredients, and materials at all stages of processing.
· Generates Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) per customer requirements.
· Creates organoleptic panels from incoming materials for evaluation
· Participates on the Internal Audit Team and Food Safety Quality Team
· Develops and Supports continuous improvement activities
· Monitors Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP and SQF compliance
· Reports food safety and quality issues as required
· Reviews documentation to ensure compliance with food safety quality standards
· Organic tracking
· Assists with SQF program documentation
· Assist with Managing processes for handling:
Nonconforming products.
Organic and other identity preserved products
Returned goods.
Customer complaints.
Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Outside test laboratories and their services.
Requests for technical service.
· Assist with carrying out specific tasks including:
Reporting of QC test results from outside laboratories.
Review of operational and QC data.
Preparation of composite samples.
Preparation and storage of retention samples.
QC approves the acceptance of Raw Honey and Food Ingredients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
