What You’ll Do
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This role is perfect for an ambitious professional looking to break into the insurtech space and make an impact. As a BDR, you will play a critical role in driving new business by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospects for our sales team. Your ability to engage potential customers and partners, understand their needs, and communicate the value of Honeycomb’s offerings will be key to our continued success.
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Engage with property managers, real estate investors, and brokers to introduce Honeycomb’s insurance solutions.
- Conduct research on potential clients to understand their insurance needs and how Honeycomb can provide value.
- Collaborate with the sales team to schedule meetings and demos with qualified leads.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to track interactions and sales pipeline progress.
- Follow up with warm leads to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position Honeycomb’s products.
- Assist in sales campaigns and initiatives to drive lead generation and brand awareness.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a related field (insurance or insurtech experience is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects effectively.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets and contribute to team success.
- Ability to learn and articulate complex insurance products in a simple and compelling manner.
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus.
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Ability to work hybrid 2 - 3 days in office in Chicago, Austin, or Sacramento
