The X-Ray Technicianhelps providers with the delivery of patient care, providing limited X-Rayradiological services in primary care clinical office setting.In addition, the X-Ray Technician will provide routine limited scope X-Rays and cast care providing safe andsupportive clinical patient care for providers ensuringexcellent patient care.
Duties andResponsibilities :
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Communicate with patients and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed
- Prepares and maintains exam and treatment rooms, cleaning after patient discharges to ensure a clean and sanitized environment. Maintains supplies inventory and ensures patient care equipment is clean and properly functioning, reporting defective equipment and supplies to the manager
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes
- Documents clinic visit, observations, and related activities. Reviews and prepares medical records as directed
- Ensure radiology procedures and workflows are followed
- Responds to medical emergencies and administers first aid as appropriate
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
- Performs other duties as required

Physical Requirements :
The physicalactivities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing,walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Musthave good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this positionare medium work - exerting up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally and / or up to 50-75 lbs. of force frequently. The X-Ray Technician is required to have closevisual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to performan activity, such as assessing patients, and analyzing data and figures;transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. Frequentinvasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids aswell as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
