Honeysuckle Gelato is looking for Part Time Scoopers for our new shop opening at Fenton in Cary!
As a Gelato Scooper you are the “face” of Honeysuckle Gelato, therefore the Gelato Scooper is extremely important. You must be friendly, professional, and fast. You will be well-versed in how our gelato and sorbet is made and be able to explain the differences between traditionally made ice cream and Italian gelato. You will take orders and scoop the gelato and sorbet, make milkshakes and floats. You will also process customer transactions, resolve customer issues and ensure that the store is always clean and well-stocked.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality customer service to everyone, including being able to answer questions concerning our products.
• Prepare or “scoop” gelato and sorbet servings.
• Operate cash register and follow Honeysuckle Gelato cash/credit card handling procedures.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Keep the store clean and inviting at all times.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED; Be over the age of 18 years.
• Previous retail or customer services/food service preparation experience is highly desirable but not required.
• Have great communication skills, be professional, and friendly at all times.
• Ability to learn how to operate POS system and other equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
